TEHRAN -- Iranian Health Minister Massoud Pezeshkian has left for Egypt to take part in the annual World Health Organization East Mediterranean region meeting, the Central News Bureau reported on Sunday.

The campaign against AIDS, vaccinations and immunizations, controlling tobacco use, and approving next year's WHO budget are some of the topics on the top of agenda of the meeting.

Participants will also discuss merging medical services and training and the experiences of countries in developing human resources, the news agency reported.

The experiences of Iran, Tunisia and Iraq are also scheduled to be discussed during the talks.

The Health Ministry's director general for development of human resources and the Majlis deputy from Zabol, Sistan-Baluchestan Province are accompanying the minister.
